MUMBAI: Legendary actor Dilip Kumar's brothers, Ehsan Khan and Aslam Khan, were admitted to Lilavati hospital on August 15 as they tested positive for Coronavirus. It was Aslam Khan, Dilip Kumar's youngest brother, who succumbed to the virus a few days after his admission to the hospital. Now, reports have emerged that the actor's youngest brother Ehsan Khan too has passed away due to Coronavirus. He was 90-years-old. He was being treated under doctor Jalil Parkar at Lilavati Hospital, and he passed away at 11 pm on September 2.

A statement by doctor Jalil Parkar doing the rounds of the media suggests that Ehsan Khan also had other age-related problems like IHD, Hypertension and Alzheimer's. Confirming to India Today, Dr Jalil Parkar informed, "He was the younger brother of Dilip Kumar who also had comorbidities like IHD, hypertension and Alzheimer’s."
Saira Banu, Dilip Kumar's wife, had spoken up on the death of Aslam Khan and told ETimes, "It is so unfortunate that Aslam bhai succumbed to the Coronavirus; we really don't know how to cope with this loss. May Allah rest him in peace." She had also asked everyone to pray for her brother-in-law Ehsan Khan who was fighting his battle with Coronavirus in the hospital. “Pray for Ehsaan bhai, who's struggling in the ICU. He's breathless. I hope he goes back home fine," she had said. It was reported that Saira Banu was the one who managed to get beds for the two brothers in the hospital and was in constant touch with doctors.
