MUMBAI: Vishal Jethwa, in this exclusive interview with TellyChakkar, talks about his upcoming web series Human. The actor speaks about his character, how he prepared for it, and how he handles negative comments from netizens.
What was your first reaction when the film was offered to you?
Casting director Mukesh Chabbra told me to read the script and decide if I like it. I read only my part and I really felt that I can connect to this character. I personally like my character in the film. Shefali Ma'am, Kriti Kolari, Ram Kapoor, and Sushil Pandey feature in the film, and I felt that I should be part of it.

How did you prepare for your role?
There was a lot of preparation behind my character. The biggest weapon you have is the script, followed by the director and the team. I saw a few clips for this role. In Mardaarni, I was talking in the language of Meerut, but in Human I speak the Bhopali language. So I researched a lot about how people talk in Bhopal and how a teenager from the street will behave and communicate. Then there were a lot of workshops before the actual shoot took place.
How do you take negative feedback from the audience?
If I get any bad comments for my work, I take it sportingly. There were many people who spoke badly about me for my previous work. Any other person would have quit the industry after listening to those comments, but I took it sportingly and moved ahead.
