MUMBAI: Pathaan has been one of the most awaited movies of this year. The Shah Rukh Khan starrer has been grabbing everyone’s attention, especially after they released the 2 songs from the movie and the second teaser for the movie. Recently, there was news doing the rounds that certain groups have been threatening Gujarat cinema halls to not screen Pathaan.
Taking the matter seriously, the Gujarat Multiplex Association took action by writing to the Home Minister of Gujarat, asking him to look into the matter as soon as possible. The letter was even officially signed by the Gujarat Multiplex President, Manubhai Patel. Reports now say that the Gujarat Government has given the Gujarat Multiplex Association their full support. Speaking to a known media portal last night, Manubhai Patel shared, “We haven't got any response from them in writing yet. But yes, they have assured us that we have their full support.”

Patel further added Patel, “It was imperative that we had to take this step as such a big film is coming after a long time and we need safety.”
For the unversed, the movie Pathaan has received certain objections from certain quarters post the release of SRK and Deepika’s song ‘Besharam Rang’ online. Reports say that the Censor Board later asked for some cuts in the film.
Meanwhile, during a recent speech, PM Narendra Modi was quoted saying, “We work hard day and night and then some of us make needless comments about films… we should refrain from making unnecessary controversial comments.”
The PM’s comments come as some politicians have been making threats and even telling people to boycott the film. Many people hailed the PM's comments on social media.
Pathaan hits cinema halls on 25th January. Deepika Padukone plays the female lead, while John Abraham will be playing the antagonist.
