MUMBAI: King Khan, as he is fondly called, is turning 60 this year. Shah Rukh Khan will celebrate his birthday on November 2, and like his fans, even actress Jahnavi Soni, who is currently seen in Paro Sang Dev and has been part of films like Afwaah and shows like Dahej Daasi, is excited for his big day. She feels that his image is bigger than what the audience sees on-screen and called him a real-life superstar.
She said, "Shah Rukh Khan is a superstar because, in my opinion, he is a hero not just on-screen but also in real life. The way he delivers dialogues in his movies makes me feel he actually lives with that same attitude in real life too. He has the heart of a king, and that’s why he became a superstar. A king is not only powerful; he understands what even the smallest person needs and knows how to give them respect. Every person only wants respect, nothing else. And I believe he is a very good person in real life too, even though I haven’t met him yet. That’s why people of all ages, even children, love him so much."
"He rules over everyone’s hearts just like he ruled on screen. He has truly performed from his heart, and that’s why his performances touch our hearts deeply. And I feel his performances are timeless. Even future generations will continue to be his fans. His legacy will live on forever, I believe that," she added.
She said that even though he is turning 60, he is still as charming as the time he started. She said, "When I listen to the messages he gives to the new generation through his podcasts and interviews, I feel truly blessed. He is such a superstar who speaks openly and guides everyone in such simple words."
"The way he explains things in a simple and clear manner is amazing. Whether it’s about how he pursued his art or even something as small as eating food, he talks about everything so simply," she added.
Jahnavi is in awe of his resilience and discipline and shared that he has set an example of what an artist should be like. She said, "From his success story, what I have personally learned is how truthful and sincere he is towards his work and how humble he is. Whether it’s a co-artist or someone from production, everybody likes him because of his humility and the way he builds personal connections with everyone. He naturally forms personal relationships, and I really admire that."
"It’s true that it’s not just his stardom; everything about him is admirable. He is outstanding in every way, and I believe that behind his discipline and his great work are the good values he got from his parents. His mentors must have also taught him so well. He is very clear about his vision and knows what his duties are as a human being, and he simply fulfills them. That’s why even today, everyone in the industry loves him so much," she added.
Her favorite SRK movie is Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. She said, "It feels extra special to me because I also come from a joint family. The way the movie showed the entire family, Shah Rukh and Hrithik Roshan’s bond, Amitabh Bachchan’s character, and every emotion, whether it’s between a mother and daughter, father and son, brothers, or lovers—everything is shown with such purity. That’s why I can watch that movie again and again and still feel emotional every time."
She hopes that SRK writes his autobiography someday and said, "I would love to read everything about his thoughts about life, his childhood, what his mindset was back then, how he has changed over time, and especially what his life was like before he started acting. How did he observe life? I am very interested to know that. Also, after starting his acting career, he still continued his education and earned his degree."
"I want to know how he managed that, how he balanced acting with studying, how he motivated himself, and how he managed his time. And when it comes to romance, what can I even say! All the romantic roles he has played so far feel so real and heartfelt. They truly touch the heart. Whether it’s Devdas or any of his other films, I love them all. I do like action, but personally, I love romance more," Jahnavi ended.
