MUMBAI: Disney and Pixar's emotional rollercoaster, Inside Out 2, continues its triumphant ride, in India as well as globally.  After a record-breaking opening of ₹7 crore ($8.7 million), the film has smashed expectations with its second-weekend performance. Worldwide, Inside Out 2 has become the undisputed king of 2024 at the box office, surpassing a whopping $725 million. This dominant performance follows a phenomenal opening of $295 million.

But the party doesn't stop there. Inside Out 2 achieved a historic feat in the United States, grossing a staggering $100 million domestically in its second weekend. This marks the best hold ever for a major blockbuster. While only six films in history have ever achieved this remarkable feat, Inside Out 2 has also surpassed Dune 2 as the highest-grossing release of 2024 in North America.
