It's 'Sheher Mera' for Abhay Deol

After the controversy of the music rights, Abhay Deol’s One by Two finally sees the release of its music just days away from the movie launch on 31 January. When you look at the list of singers employed for this movie, what strikes you is an illustrious list of names with Shankar Mahadevan, Clinton Cerejo, Anuhska Manchanda, Arijit Singh etc. What oddly sticks out from the list is a relatively new name – Thomson Andrews who has sung the track ‘Sheher Mera’ which actor Abhay Deol admits is his favourite song. “We are just days away from the release of the film but our music is now available to the public. Sheher Mera is my favourite number from the movie that people have still not heard but that is now remedied.” Crafted to be the first song of the film, the lyrics speak of Mumbai and the things that are representative of the city. In the blues and jazz space the makers Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy likened the song to Frank Sinatra’s song New York New York. Hmmm ...well, what remains to be seen is whether the aam Mumbaikar likes the song now!!
