MUMBAI: It is 2008 and Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na was released which was about friendship, sad love stories, and college time love turning into forever in the city of Mumbai. In today's fan fiction, cut to 2024 if Imran Khan and Genelia Deshmukh's film has a sequel then surely the emotional quotient between Jai and Aditi would have to change. If you have seen the last scene of the film the duo is seen returning back from their honeymoon after five years. If the makers come out with the sequel and we scream that Imran Khan and Genelia Deshmukh need to return back; the real-life issues after marriage will be shown.
What if Jai and Aditi realised that they were immature when they fell in love? What if Jai is really a contradictory character who just does not believe in love but has got married to find emotional support? Marrying a known devil is better than marrying an unknown devil. What if Jai and Aditi grow restless and there is monotony in their marriage and eventually they have a painful breakup? Well, the sequel needs to show that not all love stories have a happy ending. The sequel should be a reflection of modern-day relationships and how there is pain, and suffering in today's marriages which are crumbling like paper.
The sequel should also show that friendships do not last long after college is over. Everyone has their priorities in life and bonds break and it is ok to come to terms with the same.
