Janhvi Kapoor's childhood Chennai Mansion and Sridevi’s first bought house is now available for living; Check out inside pics!

According to the story, Janhvi will allow her Chennai mansion to "select" Airbnb users. Conversations on Janhvi's “favorite beauty hacks” and “tasting fresh, authentic South Indian food” would also be part of the one-night stay.

MUMBAI : If you were captivated by Janhvi Kapoor's childhood home in Chennai when she gave a tour of it a few years ago, here is your opportunity to live there. The home was purchased by her late mother, famous actress Sridevi, and is now available for rent on Airbnb's list of 11 Icons properties, according to a story by the entertainment portal.

"This is the most intimate access to the most famous family in Bollywood," said Brian Chesky, Airbnb CEO and co-founder, at the launch of ‘Icons.’ Other pop culture spots that are also on the list include the real-life house from Disney-Pixar's Up (2009) in Abiquiu, New Mexico, the X-Men mansion in New York's Westchester County, Kevin Hart's members-only Coramino Live Lounge, a personal Doja Cat concert, Prince's iconic Purple Rain house in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and the Inside Out headquarters.

Janhvi's Chennai mansion was first bought by Sridevi after her marriage to producer Boney Kapoor. It was the first home the late actor ever bought. She adorned it with artifacts and paintings from around the world before the family had to shut it down due to leakage and other maintenance issues.

However, Boney decided to renovate the mansion himself following Sridevi's death in 2018. In a show-around, Janhvi gave Vogue India a behind-the-scenes look into her place of residence in 2022.

The mansion includes Boney's Chennai office, one of Sridevi's first paintings, a TV room, “secret room,” a memorabilia wall filled with family photos.
