Kabir Bedi-Pooja Bedi animosity continues; Kabir celebrates 68th birthday without daughter Pooja

Many mutual friends of the father and daughter had hoped that they would patch up on the big day. But on Kabir Bedi’s 68th birthday on Thursday daughter Pooja Bedi was nowhere to be seen at the party thrown for the occasion on Wednesday night at Kabir’s residence. Says a friend of the Bedi parivar, “We all hoped to see Pooja show up at Kabir’s party. But she didn’t turn up. The property dispute has made a serious dent in their relationship. Also, Pooja is very clear she won’t be a part of her father’s life as long as his live-in companion Parveen is around.” And since party was organized by Parveen, Pooja chose to make herself scarce in her father’s life even on his special day. When asked about his party Kabir said, “I brought in my birthday on Wednesday night with a fabulous party put together by Parveen. Friends from films, television, theatre, advertising, income-tax department, finance, law, bureaucracy and clothes designing were present.” “It was a very private affair,” adds Kabir. With guests from so many walks of life we wonder how private the party could be.
