MUMBAI : Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan has been making a lot of buzz these days for his movies and acting skills. Recently, the actor announced that he will be a part of the threequel of the romantic film series, Aashiqui. It will be directed by filmmaker Anurag Basu and produced by Bhushan Kumar. Details of the film have not been revealed as of yet, but the excitement seems to be rising. Now earlier, on Sunday evening, Kartik, Anurag and Bhushan were seen together at an office, and rumours have it that they were planning and discussing about Aashiqui 3.
Fans seem to be unanimously saying that they want actress Shraddha Kapoor to be the female lead for the film. One user commented saying, “Plz Shraddha ko heroine lena”, and yet another user commented saying, “female should be Shraddha Kapoor only”. A third user wrote, “We hope it's Shraddha Kapoor”.

Earlier reports said that Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt may have been playing the leads in Aashiqui 3. But now it seems that fans will have to wait to see the two together on the big screens. The original Aashiqui was released in the year 1990 and was helmed by Mahesh Bhatt. The film featured actors Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal. The second part of Aashiqui was helmed by Mohit Suri in the year 2013. The film starred Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur.
Workwise, Kartik Aaryan has the film Satyaprem Ki Katha along with Kiara Advani, Shehzada, and Captain India in his schedule. Currently, the actor is basking in the success of his OTT release, Freddy which also stars Alaya F. The film has been released on Disney+ Hotstar. Freddy is about a shy dentist who is a killer by night.
