Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Black, starring Amitabh Bachchan and Rani Mukerji is one of the most memorable and artistic movie till now in the industry. The movie was released in the year 2005 but the performance of the actress is still remembered as one of the most heart-shaking performances.

Bunty Aur Babli was a Yash Raj Films production and even though it was released in the same year as Black, in this movie, the audience got to see a completely different shade of Rani’s acting skill. Her chemistry with Abhishek Bachchan was also appreciated. She was later seen in the second part of the movie where people a saw a transformation in the character from a citizen to a goon.

Mardaani (Part 1 and 2)

Mardaani, both the parts, were YRF movies. While the part one was directed by Pradeep Sarkar, the second part was directed by Gopi Puthran. Talking about Rani’s character in the movie, she portrays Shivani Shivaji Roy, a tough and daring police officer, who goes up against predatory male criminals who prey on women.

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is one of the most iconic movies directed by Karan Johar. It is about a love triangle between Rahul (played by Shahrukh Khan), Anjali (played by Kajol) and Tina (played by Rani Mukerji) and while the movie later shows the romance between Anjali and Rahul, people cannot forget Tina as she was a perfect college girl, played by Rani Mukerji at the age of 17. The movie released in 1998 and recently, people celebrated the movie as it completed 25 years.

No One Killed Jessica

Talking about the movie, it was based on the Jessica Lal murder case, and revolves on a bartender who dies after being shot by a politician's son and her sister's struggle to find justice for her death.

Hichki

Malhotra and produced by Yash Raj Films. The movie is based on American motivational speaker, Brad Cohen's autobiography ‘Front of the Class’. The movie marked Rani Mukerji’s comeback with her role as Naina Mathur, an aspiring teacher, rejected by many schools due to having Tourette syndrome.Things change when Naina finally gets accepted at the St. Notker's School, her alma mater where she is assigned to teach students from a nearby slum in the class 9F. The performance audience got to see in this movie from Rani’s side is truly unforgettable.
