Neil Nitin Mukesh, who has served as an assistant director to Aditya Chopra for five years having worked in Mujhse Dosti Karoge among others in the beginning of his film career, has evinced interest to get behind the camera and helm a film.
"I was an assistant director for five years of my life and would definitely like to get into direction for sure. It will certainly happen someday," Neil exclaimed when pushed to answer a query if he was indeed mulling with the idea of turning to direction.

Considering that the actor plans to venture into direction, he gets involved in almost every aspect of filmmaking. "I have, for quite some time been involved in the filmmaking process like from scripting to post production from music to story to direction," Neil revealed.
The actor, who enjoys writing as well, is putting final touches to a script he has penned between his film commitments.
"The film is titled Paidaar (eternal). For me love never dies. It is still in the writing stage, a last draft of dialogues is being readied and mind you all this is happening simultaneously with my other projects," Neil said.
