MUMBAI: The icons of the Indian cinema recently took a huge step toward expanding Bollywood's global footprint. During a special meeting with Christopher Luxon, the Prime Minister of New Zealand, Siddharth Roy Kapur along with celebrated industry icons such as Aamir Khan, Ronnie Screwvala, Ashutosh Gowariker, and Vidya Balan discussed ways to fortify ties between Indian and New Zealand film industries.

The meeting, which Luxon captured in a vibrant selfie and shared on X (formerly known as Twitter), signaled a promising shift in the cinematic landscape. Luxon wrote, "The film scene brings money into our economy which creates jobs and grows incomes – and I want to see more of that. So it was great to catch up with a few Bollywood stars to get their thoughts on what more we can do!"

In response, Siddharth Roy Kapur of Roy Kapur Films highlighted the positive exchange, stating, "It was wonderful to meet with the Hon. Prime Minister of New Zealand today, to discuss exciting opportunities for our film industries to collaborate on."
