Nora Fatehi apologizes for her feminism statement; Says, ‘There’s nothing better than upholding…’

MUMBAI: Nora Fatehi who is enjoying the success of her latest release Madgaon Express has always been in the limelight for speaking her mind about the industry. Recently she opened up about her thoughts on feminism in a podcast which did not go down very well with a lot of people.

Nora said, “I don't need anybody. “I don’t believe in this shit. In fact, I think, feminism f***** up our society.” She further added, “I think women are nurturers, yes, they should go to work and have their own life and be independent but to a certain extent.”

Although some may consider it antiquated and conventional, Nora said she sees it as a normal way of thinking. The actress from Crakk has also backed women's rights, pointing out that radical feminism might be dangerous for society.

In a later interview, Nora clarified that her statements on Feminism were misconstrued. She said, “I definitely apologize for making people upset and hurting them, but that was not the intention at all.”

She added, “I don't want what's happening in the West to happen in this part of the world because there's nothing better than upholding traditions and values and morals.”
