MUMBAI : Bollywood choreographer and actress Nora Fatehi has been making a lot of buzz these days for her looks and eye-catching dance moves. On Tuesday, she was called as a witness to record her statement in the Rs. 215 crores extortion case filed against Sukesh Chandrashekhar, who is currently in jail. The statement was accessed by a well-known media portal, in which she claimed that Sukesh asked for excessive favour from her through the help of Pinky Irani.
Nora further claimed that the conman asked him to be his girlfriend and in exchange, he promised her a big house and a luxurious lifestyle. She also claimed that Pinky Irani contacted her cousin and told her that Jacqueline Fernandez was waiting for Sukesh's offer, but he wanted Nora Fatehi. Quoting what Pinky said to her cousin, Nora said, “Many actresses are dying to be taken care of by Sukesh.”
In her testimony to the court, Nora said, “Initially, I did not know who Sukesh was. Later, I thought he used to work at a company called LS Corporation. I neither had any personal contact nor did I ever have any conversations with him.

Nora claimed that she found out that Sukesh Chandrashekhar was a conman only after she was summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the extortion case. She said, “I had no clue about this and I never met him. The only time I saw him was when the ED confronted me with him at its office.”
The actress’s recent statement came just days after she came in front of Delhi's Patiala House Court and recorded her statement in connection with the case. Her statement is being used as evidence, and she is now being considered as a witness in the case.
The actor asserted that she was a ‘victim’ in the case involving the conman and was not a part of any kind of money laundering. However, the ED has charged Nora of receiving luxury gifts like luxury cars, diamonds, and bags from the conman.
The ED further alleged that Sukesh gifted Nora a BMW car in December 2020. But the actress has contended that the car was gifted to her by the conman's wife, Leena Maria, so that Nora could participate in an event taking place in Chennai.
Sukesh Chandrashekhar is currently in jail and has been accused of cheating many people, even high-profile people like the former Fortis Healthcare promoter Shivinder Mohan Singh's wife, Aditi Singh.
