Aamir Khan's bold PK standee has attracted criticism already from certain sporadic quarters of the nations. Given Aamir's superstardom and the big guns involved behind PK, the protest has been half hearted and hasn't gathered enough steam. Even the Supreme Court recently dismissed a PIL filed against the movie stating that art cannot be curtailed.
Aamir, on his part, thinks there is absolutely nothing vulgar about the poster. Stressing that the scene is an integral part of the movie and not just a poster shot for publicity, Aamir said, "I don't think or see my pose in the poster as vulgar. Even fully clothed people can be vulgar. One can be vulgar with his or her words. So not wearing something doesn't make one vulgar. It is your thoughts and actions that make you vulgar not your clothes or lack of it. When a child is born, he is born nude. Would you call the child vulgar? My pose and look in the poster doesn't come across to me as vulgar."
PK which happens to be one of the most eagerly awaited movies of the year will see Aamir reuniting with 3 Idiots director Raju Hirani after four years. Showering high praise on the story, Aamir said, "I can very well say that this has been my most challenging role till date. You can put all the films of my career in one scale and PK in the other and am sure the balance will be equal. PK is a very important film."
PK starring Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma is set to release during Christmas this year.
