MUMBAI: The renowned actress Rakul Preet Singh recently shared a charming anecdote about her professional and personal interaction with cinema icon Shah Rukh Khan, who has temporarily moved into a neighbouring property near her residence in Mumbai.
The superstar has shifted out of his legendary home, Mannat, as it undergoes extensive renovation work.

For this interim period, he is leasing a four-floor apartment in Puja Casa, a building owned by producer Vashu Bhagnani, for a reported high rent.
Rakul Preet Singh, who is married to Vashu Bhagnani's son, Jackky, resides in a closely located building, also named Puja Casa.
Speaking during a recent interview, Rakul expressed her absolute delight at suddenly having the much-loved star as a close neighbour.
A self-proclaimed devoted admirer of Shah Rukh Khan, Rakul revealed the conversation she had with her husband, Jackky, humorously volunteering her services for any small domestic requirement the star might have, simply for a chance to interact.
She recalled the moment, stating, "I am such a Shah Rukh sir fan that I told Jackky that whenever he needs anything done at the house, or if he needs to talk to someone, send me, I want to be there."
Rakul shared her disappointment at missing the initial arrival of Shah Rukh Khan at the apartment, explaining that she was tied up with her professional commitments, shooting for her recent release, De De Pyaar De 2.
"I got very upset that Jackky went there by himself," she said, reflecting on her husband’s duty to welcome the star in her absence.
Her eagerness to meet the actor led her to joke about taking on trivial maintenance tasks just for a chance encounter.
She elaborated on her funny suggestion to her husband: "I told Jackky that in case a bulb is not working, or there is an electricity issue, send me."
The actress eventually had a successful and pleasant meeting with the star over dinner and later confirmed that her experience was "extremely welcoming."
The experience of having the iconic star as a neighbour was a memorable highlight for the actress amidst her busy schedule.
