Ranbir told a news portal, “At that time, the press didn’t matter because I was in the middle of it. Living with my parents, I was part of the experience. I remember spending hours sitting on the staircases, from 1 am to 5 am, listening to their arguments and the sound of things breaking. While everyone experiences familial conflicts, the fact that my parents were celebrities meant their issues were magnified in the press. It was somewhat embarrassing at school; although my friends were supportive and didn’t bring it up, there was always an unspoken awareness of my situation. But you learn to cope with it.”
After marrying Rishi in 1980, Neetu gave up acting and appeared in her last film Ganga Meri Maa. Riddhima was born in September 1980 while Ranbir was born in September 1982.
Neetu made her acting comeback in 2009 and appeared in films like Do Dooni Chaar, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Besharam, Special 26, and Jug Jugg Jeeyo. Rishi sadly passed away in 2020 folling his battle with cancer.
