MUMBAI: Fans were left heartbroken when Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya, in a joint statement, announced that they are ending their marriage in October last year.

As per the latest reports, the former couple is not interested in sharing screen space with each other. Previously, it was reported that Samantha, who has worked with filmmaker Nandini Reddy in films Jabardasth (2013) and Oh! Baby (2019), is set to team up with the director for another project, and Chay was roped in to play the male lead in the movie. However, their separation has put Nandini in a tough spot.

But now, as per the media reports, Chaitanya is still a part of the project but Nandini is looking for Samantha's replacement as the couple is 'not ready to act together in a movie.'

A source close to the unit reveals, "Nandini Reddy has decided to stick with Naga Chaitanya and she is now in search of an actress who can replace Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the film." The trio is yet to react to the news.

Meanwhile, Samantha has a few interesting projects coming up. The diva was last seen in the song Oo Antava from Allu Arjun's Pushpa: The Rise. The actress will be soon sharing screen space with Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kadhal. Chay, on the other hand, will be soon making his Hindi film debut with Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan-starrer Laal Singh Chaddha.
