MUMBAI: Despite not having a release for Eid this year, Salman Khan planned for it by revealing Sikandar, his next major endeavor. Filming on this action entertainer is slated to start in May, and will be Khan's debut project with director AR Murugadoss.

Currently, Murugadoss is helming an action movie starring Sivakarthikeyan, a Tamil actor, that is tentatively titled SK23. June is when this project is supposed to finish. Murugadoss will be juggling both films for the next two months to guarantee a seamless shooting schedule for Sikandar.

“Before Sikandar goes on floors, Murugadoss wants to wrap up as much of SK23 as possible,” an insider revealed, as per a report in Mid-day. “He will shoot the first schedule of Sikandar in May and then return to finish Sivakarthikeyan's movie in June. From July onwards, he will be completely dedicated to the Salman Khan starrer.”

With an Eid 2025 release target, the team is working diligently to meet the deadline despite the director's busy schedule. “To avoid any delays, Murugadoss has assembled a dedicated team to help him finish SK23 quickly,” the source added.

After eight years away from Hindi film after Akira (2016), Murugadoss makes his comeback with Sikandar. With this project, Khan and producer Sajid Nadiadwala who co-wrote successful classics like Kick, Judwaa, and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi will reunite.

Audiences are buzzing with excitement and interest only from the title Sikandar. Viewers can't wait to see the magic happen on screen as a result of this incredible team effort. The excitement for Eid 2025 is likely to increase significantly!
