MUMBAI: On May 26, 2024, after his team, the Kolkata Knight Riders, won in a highly competitive Indian Premier League (IPL), Shah Rukh Khan was the happiest man alive. The Bollywood actor has received a lot of accolades from the KKR players for his encouragement and support of the team.
Cricket player Harshit Rana, who gained notoriety during the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) with his celebratory flying kiss, revealed that SRK assured him not to worry about a fine he received during the tournament.
Cricket player Harshit Rana discussed the fine imposed on him during this year's IPL after celebrating his wicket with a flying kiss in a recent interview with Shubhankar Mishra. He revealed what Shah Rukh Khan, the owner of KKR, had stated to him.
Harshit stated, “Jab main ban hua aur jab meko fine laga toh shah rukh sir ne mujhe bola tha, ‘Tu tension mat le mai de dunga’ (When I was banned and got the fine, Shah Rukh sir told me not to take tension; he will give it).”
Harshit was praising King Khan nonstop during the talk, saying that they couldn't ask for a greater team owner than him. He added that SRK's response won't change no matter how the game turns out.
Harshit also disclosed a wise thought that SRK has conveyed to the team. According to the Jawan actor, defeat and victory keep happening, but his team should never forget the spirit they have or the way they play cricket. Harshit called it a big thing that their team owner is with them in both wins and losses, due to which their confidence always increases.
A few days after KKR won against the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL final on May 26, Shah Rukh Khan took to his social media and expressed his feelings. He posted a picture in which he posed with the entire team and his family, including Gauri Khan, Suhana Khan, Aryan Khan, and AbRam Khan.
In the caption, Shah Rukh wrote, “To my boys…. my team…. my champs….’these blessed candles of the night’ …. My Stars…of KKR.”
He praised the team, “GG said if u can’t support a single vision as a team….u are leading to a division in the team. Each player understood that. Young and old. The Trophy is not a testament of having the best players in the team….but a proof of each player being the best for the team. Boys you are all made of Star stuff!! Love you all and don’t let the dancing stop!”
SRK expressed his gratitude to the fans and appreciated their support by saying, “Also, so happy and thankful for each and every KKR fan and I hope all around the world youngsters learn that Tough times don’t last….Finally Tough and Happy teams do! Korbo…Lorbo…Jeetbo….Always. See u all at the stadia in 2025.”
Shah Rukh Khan captivated viewers with three distinct films last year. He is currently getting ready to begin filming King, his upcoming movie, as soon as possible. The action-packed thriller, directed by Sujoy Ghosh, is expected to feature him alongside his daughter Suhana Khan on screen.
