MUMBAI: Actor Shanaya Kapoor is all set for her big Bollywood debut on 11th July, 2025, with Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, in which she shares the screen with Vikrant Massey. On Tuesday, the team launched the film’s trailer at a grand event in Mumbai, attended by Shanaya, Vikrant, director Santosh Singh, and Shanaya’s family — her parents, Sanjay and Maheep Kapoor, and brother Jahaan, who turned up as her biggest cheerleaders.
With the trailer finally out, netizens can’t stop talking about Shanaya’s performance, making her social media quickly flooded with reactions praising her acting chops and her chemistry with Vikrant.
One fan commented, “Vikrant is awesome... but I’ve seen the natural acting spark in Shanaya also.” Another wrote, “Shanaya might actually break the bad nepo kid acting curse. Looking good. And Vikrant is always good as usual! I’m so glad she got a good co-actor to debut with!”

On the work front, Shanaya Kapoor will next be seen in Bejoy Nambiar’s survival thriller Tu Yaa Main, which goes on floors soon. She will also in Dharma Productions' web series Student Of The Year 3, directed by debutant Reema Maya, consisting of six episodes. Additionally, she’s set to feature in J.C. Sujaat Saudagar’s upcoming period comedy.
With the buzz around her debut performance gaining momentum, it looks like Shanaya Kapoor might be gearing up to carve a space for herself in the industry — and perhaps break a few stereotypes along the way.
