MUMBAI : Singham started not just a franchise but a universe that we now know as Rohit Shetty’s Cop Universe. Starting from Singham and Singham Returns, starring Ajay Devgn, the lead was then taken by two more movies – Simmba starring Ranveer Singh and Sooryavanshi starring Akshay Kumar. Then there came Rohit Shetty’s OTT debut with a series titled Indian Police Foce starring Sidharth Malhotra, Shilpa Shetty, Vivek Oberoi and Shweta Tiwari.
All these movies and series received a lot of love from the audience but what remained in the centre of it all was Singha, and so, the makers are back with Singham Again, the third Singham movie from the universe.
This time, director Rohit Shetty did not just bring in Ajay Devgn but the whole force including, Kareena Kapoor Khan (from Singham Returns), Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar and Shweta Tiwari. It also got in new addition to the cast with actors like Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Jackie Shroff and Arjun Kapoor. The announcement of the movie was received very well by the audience but the trailer showed them a promising movie which seemed like more than what they had expected.
This time, the storyline has woven Ramayana characters and the trailer was simply larger than life. The movie finally released on 1st November and received a lot of love from the audience. Let’s see how it performed at the box office.
On its first day, the movie opened up to a collection of Rs 43.50 Cr which is an amazing amount for the movie. Surely the audience’s love can be seen here but let’s how it does on second day.
