Shooting for 'The Accidental Prime Minister' wraps up 

The shooting for the upcoming biographical political drama The Accidental Prime Minister has concluded, says veteran actor Anupam Kher, who will be seen playing the role of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in the film.

Anupam, 63, on Thursday, tweeted that shooting here was a learning experience for him.

"The Delhi schedule of our film The Accidental Prime Minister comes to an end. It was great to shoot in a city where I learned so much about acting (National School Of Drama). It has been a learning experience to work with some superb actors from this city. Thank you Delhi," Anupam wrote. 

Bhumi Pednekar proud, excited for 'Sonchiriya'

Actress Bhumi Pednekar says she is proud and excited for her upcoming film Sonchiriya, which is slated to release on 8 February, 2019.

Bhumi, 28, on Wednesday, shared the film's first look, where actors Sushant Singh Rajput, Ranvir Shorey and Manoj Bajpayee are seen in a dacoit avatar. 

"Watch us in Sonchiriya releasing on February 8, 2019! So proud and excited for this one. Ronnie Screwvala, Abhishek Chaubey, Sushant Singh Rajput, Manoj Bajpayee, Ranvir Shorey," she captioned the image.

The film is directed by Abhishek Chaubey, who earlier helmed films like Udta Punjab, Dedh Ishqiya and Ishqiya.

Kajol finds dubbing painful

Kajol during a recent interaction confessed, "I still find the dubbing process painful despite success of the film...But yes definitely everything we worked towards has panned out well and has been appreciated. 

Kajol lent her voice to the character of Helen Parr, Elastigirl for The Incredible 2.

"I don't really know. This was a onetime thing. I don't know whether I wish for another film or not. But if I have to do another animated superhero film, I will definitely think about it."

She will next be seen in Eela.

Taapsee Pannu to endorse insurance

Actress Taapsee Pannu has been roped in as the face of new TV commercial "Cover Karo, Kaam Aayega" by an insurance company. Executed by Suresh Triveni under the RPF banner, the campaign intends to establish the need for insurance in everyday life.

Speaking about the partnership, Taapsee said, "I have been able to deliver my best as an actor when I have portrayed strong and independent characters. I loved the fact that the company is encouraging women of today to take matters in their own hands, even the financial ones...."

"This is my first endorsement in the insurance category. I am excited to work and look forward to having a fruitful association," further added the Pinkand Naam Shabana actress.

Farhan Akhtar met Dhruv Rathee in Vienna

Actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar, who seems to be having fun time in Vienna, also met popular YouTuber Dhruv Rathee in the Austrian capital. 

Rathee is a social and environmental activist, who is often seen criticising Indian government on various platforms.

Rathee shared a photograph from his meeting with Farhan and tweeted, "Caught a flight down today to Vienna to meet with Farhan Akhtar, worth it."

In response, Farhan wrote, "Pleasure meeting you brother, Dhruv Rathee. Safe onwards travels."

Aditi Rao Hydari asks Twitteratis to volunteer for 'Scribble Foundation'

Bollywood actress Aditi Rao Hydari has requested Twitter users to contribute their bit for "Scribble Foundation".

She has tweeted a beautiful picture of a little boy standing in front of a painted wall.

In the tweet Aditi wrote, "...Listen, the cause is more important so a big shout out to Scribble Foundation..."

Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na" clocks in 10 yrs

Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na, a 2008 released film that was loved by youth, has completed 10 years on Wednesday.

Produced by actor Aamir Khan and his cousin Mansoor Khan, the film also marked the debut of actor Imran Khan. 

Imran's wife Avantika Malik Khan got nostalgic and penned a message along with the film's poster on Instagram.

"10 years since the release of Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na today (Wednesday), where does time go? So much love to everyone I met during the making of this wonderful film that changed our lives forever," her post reads. With "Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na", actors Imran Khan and Genelia D'Souza rose to fame and set the best friend goals as 'Jai and Aditi' to public.

Sonu Sood is a confident performer: Luv Sinha 

Luv Sinha, who is stepping into Bollywood with Paltan as an actor, had a great time working with actor Sonu Sood in the film, and says he brings out the best in his co-actors.

The son of veteran actor and politician Shatrughan Sinha and brother of actress Sonakshi Sinha bonded with Sonu over health and fitness.

"Sonu sir helped all of us out during the shoot and we had a great time working together. We used to wake up early and work out together during the shoot," Luv said in a statement.

"He was very supportive. He gave me a lot of tips while working out and also suggested that I start training with his trainer (with) who I have been working out for sometime now. He is a very generous and confident performer who brings out the best in his co actors in every scene," he added.

Broadway-style musical 'Aladdin' was premiered in Delhi; attended by Amjad Ali Khan, Hasleen Kaur, among others

A Broadway-style musical based on the classic tale of "Aladdin" enthralled the audience in Delhi at its premiere show, attended by popular names from the capital city's social circuit. The magic carpet for the Disney India show -- produced by BookMyShow -- rolled out at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium here on Wednesday.

The evening was marked by the presence of Amjad Ali Khan, models Hasleen Kaur, Sapna Kumar and Laxmi Rana, designer Siddharth Tytler, Nikhil Mehra, Tanisha Mohan and Sanjoy Roy among others.

This musical on "Aladdin", whose characters Jafar, Jasmine and Aladdin are well-known to Disney fans, was staged in Mumbai in April.

It has been reimagined for the Indian stage, with around 50 performers entertaining the audience with foot-tapping music, choreography and acting. It is complete with songs such as "Friend Like Me" and "A Whole New World", celebrating the love between Aladdin and Jasmine and of his friendship with Genie.

The actors who have brought the tale alive on stage include Siddharth Menon, Taaruk Raina, Kira Narayanan, Mantra and Vikrant Chaturvedi. "Aladdin" is being staged here till 15 July.

The poster of ‘Sonchiriya’ is out

The poster of the upcoming movie Sonchiriya is out. The newly released poster features Sushant Singh Rajput, Manoj Bajpayee, Ranveer Shorey and Ashutosh Rana dressed as dacoits along with their gang. The tagline of the poster reads – 'Bairi beimaan, baaghi saavdhan!' The movie is slated to hit the screens on 8 February, 2019.
