The unit will shoot parts of the love story and picturize songs along with a few scenes.

Subhash Ghai is currently lodged in the valleys of flowers in Uttaranchal where he, along with 150 artistes and technicians, will shoot for Kaanchi in which Bengali damsel Mishti plays the title role.
The unit will shoot parts of the love story and picturize songs along with a few scenes.
The film is the dramatic journey of a 18 year-old girl from the mountains to a metro city from innocence to realization; evolution followed by a revolution, which will wake up and inspire today’s youth against corruption of power. In short it’s an entertaining film with a deep message behind it.
Quipped Ghai, “Mishti is one of the most talented new heroines I have ever found; she is just fantastic. You have to see her performance in Kaanchi to believe me. She is another superstar in the wing this year.”
Incidentally, Mishti was selected out of more than 530 girls from all over India and personally interviewed by Ghai himself.
Rishi Kapoor and Mithun Chakroborty are also a part of the movie.
The film will be released around August this year (2013).
