MUMBAI: Bollywood lost one of the most talented actors in Sushant Singh Rajput on June 14. The actor ended his life after hanging himself in his Bandra house, leaving everyone grieving. Exactly one month after Sushant Singh Rajput's demise, his ex-girlfriend Ankita Lokhande, and ladylove Rhea Chakraborty took to their respective social media handles and remembered the late actor. Now, Sushant's good friend and Pavitra Rishta co-star Mahesh Shetty also shared a post of a lit candle, followed by a heartbroken and folded hands emoticon on his Instagram story, in remembrance of his late friend Sushant.

Mahesh who shared screen space with late actor Sushant Singh Rajput on the TV show Pavitra Rishta was the person whom Sushant called last before he took the drastic step of ending his life. He even revealed that he regrets missing his call. As per the reports in TOI, the police officers have also recorded Mahesh's statement. A Police officer has been quoted saying by the publication, "Rajput's sister said he had no financial problems but was under treatment for depression for past six months. His friend Shetty said the actor had called him early on Sunday, but he did not pick up. He said if he had, the situation might have been different."
After Sushant's untimely demise, on his Instagram, he wrote a post for him which read, "As we all are deeply pained and shocked to hear about Sushant Singh Rajput's untimely demise...So is Mahesh Shetty. He has lost a brother, and very dear friend and is still coming to terms with the shock and the reality and is completely heartbroken. We, his team request the media and all of you on his behalf, to please give me him some privacy and let him greave for his loss."
