MUMBAI: Soon after news of Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide broke, casting director Mukesh Chhabra was amongst the first ones to arrive with his brother at actor's Bandra abode. After Drive opposite Jacqueline Fernandez, Sushant was gearing up for the release of another Netflix film Dil Bechara opposite debutant Sanjana Sanghi. As Dil Bechara will be actor's last film now, his fans have been requesting the makers to release the film on the big screen rather than on the OTT platform. While Mumbai Police have been investigating SSR’s suicide case closely, Mukesh Chhabra has revealed a few details about their last conversation in his statement.

According to a report in Times Of India, Mukesh Chhabra revealed when he last spoke to Sushant. He told the police that Sushant last called him to wish him on his birthday that is on May 27. Tweeting about the same ANI wrote, “In connection with an accidental death case registered at Bandra Police Station in Sushant Singh Rajput suicide case, casting director Mukesh Chhabra's statement was recorded today. Chhabra told that he shared good relations with Rajput and he was a good actor.
Sushant informed Chhabra that he is not well. Reportedly, the actor said, “I am not well” to the casting director and when enquired about the reason, he replied saying, “I am fine, I will be fine."
