MUMBAI: Kangana Ranaut has been very vocal about the injustice outsiders face in Bollywood, and after Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, the actress did not hold back as she said in a video that it was a planned murder. It was in the same video that Kangana Ranaut questioned why terrible movies like Gully Boy gets awarded, but Sushant Singh Rajput’s Chhichhore was not. Now, Taapsee Pannu shared a few posts by other social media users, one of which shows Kangana herself lauding Ranveer Singh’s performance in Gully Boy, but was questioned by a user why she didn’t mention Sushant Singh Rajput’s performance in Chhichhore.

The video shows Kangana Ranaut being asked to choose between Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh, wherein she chooses Ranveer for his performance in Gully Boy. The video then cuts to Kangana’s statement from her video now in which she asks why Sushant’s Chhichhore was not acknowledged. The social media user can be seen saying in the video, “In 2019, Kangana Ranaut had prepared a list of her favorite performances of the year. Her sister Rangoli had shared it, and the list named Ranveer Singh, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Vicky Kaushal. Nowhere was there a mention of Sushant Singh Rajput or Chhichhore. So in 2019 when Kangana loved the performances of Ranveer and Siddhant in Gully Boy, then in 2020 how can Gully Boy be a terrible film. In 2019 when you didn’t speak of Sushant Singh Rajput’s performance, so in 2020 how can you say Sushant’s performance in Chhichhore was the best?”
Taapsee has a good laugh as she shared the video and wrote, “sorry guys couldn’t help retweeting this one.” She also shared another snippet from her interview with Bombay Times wherein Kangana mentions she never met or spoke with Sushant.
Meanwhile, the war of words between Taapsee Pannu and Kangana Ranaut started after Kangana called Taapsee and Swara Bhasker ‘B-Grade actresses’ in an interview with Republic TV.
