Tanisha's Marathi film Anntar is a gift to her mother Tanuja

Tanisha and Tanuja
Earlier we had reported that Akshay Kumar will make a Marathi film with Tanisha, daughter of Tanuja and sister of Kajol. Then the project was titled Adhantari but it is now titled Anntar. The 35-year old Tanisha, who is of Maharashtrian lineage on her mother Tanuja's side, says this is not a shift to Marathi films as such, but she liked the script and chose to do it. "My mom has done Marathi films in the past and it seemed like a good challenge, so I went for it. For me the film is a gift to my mom who loves Marathi cinema," she said. The film has Tanisha playing modern-day Marathi girl grown up in London. To get the accent right, Tanisha also took diction lessons. "Films are in my blood and I know that I will always be a part of this industry," she added. Tanisha, who started her career in 2003 with Sssshhh, later went on to do films like Popcorn Khao Mast Ho Jao and and Mukti.
