However, he refused to report on the sets on multiple times.

The who’s who of Bollywood is gearing up for the Da-Bang tour. According to a newspaper, amongst the leading ladies, Katrina Kaif is the highest paid celebrity. Katrina, as per the reports, is paid around 12 crores for eight days while the other actresses like Jacqueline Fernandez and Sonakshi Sinha are paid around six-eight crores.

Jackky Bhagnani starts shooting for 'Anandwaa'

Jackky Bhagnani has started shooting for the film Anandwaa on Thursday. The actor will play the lead role in the film, which is an ode to Hrishikesh Mukherjee's cult classic Anand. The 1971 film featured the late actor Rajesh Khanna and megastar Amitabh Bachchan.

"I am very excited to play this role.  Anand is such a poignant and beautiful film. I am honoured to be working for this project. The film requires a lot of sensitivity and what drew me to the script was how maturely the writing was handled,” Jackky said in a statement.

"I am sure the audience will love the film," he added.

Directed by Abir Sengupta, Anandwaa explores the journey of a man who chooses to handle a life-altering situation with humour.

Akhil Akkineni drops out of RGV's film

Nagarjuna's son Akhil Akkineni has denied signing up for any Ram Gopal Varma film. The actor confirmed he is off to London for his next with Venky Atluri where Nidhi Aggarwal is his co-star.

Akhil said, "I'm not sure who is confirming any such news (of Akhil doing Varma's film) or why. I'm off to London to shoot my next film. That's the only thing on my mind right now."

Akhil was expected to team up with Varma for a film soon, however, in the aftermath of the disaster Officer, starring Nagarjuna, and fan protest, the actor reportedly quietly opted out of the Varma project.

"Fans always have an opinion of their own. We only try to live up to their expectations," Akhil said adding that his aim is "giving them good films at the end of the day".

Yami heads to Serbia for 'Uri'

Yami Gautam is headed to Serbia to start shooting for the first schedule of her upcoming film Uri.

"Yami is all set for her first schedule in Siberia. As her fans and media have been tracking not only has she gotten fitter, but has gone through a makeover to dive into the character she is playing," a spokesperson said in a statement.

Yami will play the role of an intelligence officer and will be acting alongside Vicky Kaushal in the film directed by Aditya Dhar.

It's gala time for Sonakshi in London

Actress Sonakshi Sinha will be attending a charity gala hosted by the Women's India Association in London as the brand ambassador of their empowerment programme.

The Vintage Glamour charity Ball will be held on Friday at Grosvenor House Hotel, London, read a statement. Sonakshi will be aiding the organization to raise funds for the projects that reflect the ethos of empowering women and children

"WIA is one of the oldest Indian charitable organizations in the UK which is completely dedicated in its commitment to empowering women and children through education, rehabilitation, life skills and social welfare," Sonakshi said.

Guru Randhawa set for his acting debut

Singer Guru Randhawa says he is willing to step into acting but doesn’t want to compromise on his singing for it.

From "Lahore", "High rated gabru", "Suit suit", "Ban ja rani" to his latest "Made in India", Guru has featured in almost all his videos.

Asked if he wants to explore acting as a profession, he said, "If I get a chance, why not!"

"In fact, I have signed a film already. If everything goes well, it will be released soon. But I don't want to compromise on my singing or drop down its level to start acting," Guru told.

"I want to learn it first and take acting and singing hand-in-hand. It is very important to learn. And I try to learn from everything around me. I learn from traveling, even from interviews," he added.

Neha – Angad’s reception in July

After getting married in a close knit wedding, Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi are all set for their reception. “We are hoping to host a reception in the first week of July. Shaadi toh kar li, but we have to go reverse now,” Angad said to a leading daily.  “Between the cricket and Bollywood industries, we should have a guest list of 2,000 people,” he concluded.
