Vikram Malhotra to launch production house with P C Sorcar biopic

Viacom 18’s former COO, the highly-regarded Vikram Malhotra who made many friends and helmed several notable movies for the thriving company, has branched out on his own. After a year of intense preparation he is all set to launch his own production house. It can now be revealed that Malhotra’s Company is called Crouching Tiger. And the first film that will roll out of Vikram Malhotra’s brand new production house is a biopic on the life and times of the legendary magician P C. Sorcar. To be directed by Soumik Sen, who recently helmed Gulaab Gang, the Sorcar biopic would be a big-budget spectacle with dazzling special effects. Says a source, “Hrithik Roshan and Aamir Khan played magicians in Guzaarish and Dhoom 3 recently. The Sorcar biopic too would have its share of magic. But the focus of the plot would be on P C Sorcar’s relationship with his son P C Sorcar Jr.” There were also reports of Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan being roped in for the project, which again is not confirmed.
