MUMBAI: Man of the year Vikrant Massey is currently basking in the success of his blockbuster film '12th Fail', a milestone that has firmly established him as one of the most sought-after and bankable actors in Bollywood. Professionally and personally, Vikrant is in a happy space, particularly as he embraces the joys of fatherhood alongside his flourishing career.
In a recent interview, Vikrant opened up about the significant changes in his life following '12th Fail'. "Last six months have been quite eventful and actually, quite a lot of things have happened. The success of '12th Fail', wrapping up 'The Sabarmati Report' and it being touted as the much-anticipated release, and then fatherhood as well. I can easily say that I’m going through an incredible purple patch in my life," he shared.
Reflecting on his current phase, Vikrant admitted that the newfound success brings its own set of challenges. "So, in a way this all is very unnerving. The pressure to go out there and meet people’s expectations again with equal success is very tough. At the back of your head, you know that you cannot replicate '12th Fail' or any success as a matter of fact. You have to start afresh, so I am starting afresh with my next slate of films,” he said, acknowledging the jitters he feels for his upcoming projects.
Despite the pressure, Vikrant remains optimistic and confident about his future endeavours. “Having said that, I think I am confident about what we have achieved with the film so far. Overall, personally and professionally, it is a happy time and I’m really grateful. I couldn’t have asked for anything more," he concluded.
Looking ahead, Vikrant has an exciting lineup of films that promise to keep his momentum going. Apart from 'The Sabarmati Report', which has already garnered significant buzz, fans can also look forward to seeing him in 'Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba' and 'Blackout'.
