He feels that the time of their return to the universe of the romantic thriller Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba, with co-star Taapsee Pannu, is ideal because Hindi cinema has evolved past its all-white heroes.

The film released in 2023 proved to be his career's breakout film 12th Fail garnering favorable reviews from both reviewers and audiences. Even though Vikrant recently acknowledged 12th Fail's success, the actor doesn't see himself as a "box-office star."

Three years later, they celebrated their union with a secret marriage ceremony at their Mumbai home.
