MUMBAI: Jaya Bachchan has repeatedly stated that she dislikes the culture of paparazzi. The veteran actress has gained notoriety for snapping at the cameraman. One occasion was when they asked her about her daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, even though the majority of the time the reason was due to violation of her privacy. When the incident happened in 2013, Jaya was at Subhash Ghai's wife's birthday party.
According to reports by a popular news portal, Jaya was asked about Aishwarya while she was heading to the celebration. With a swift outburst, the Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani actor questioned him about why he was calling Aishwarya by her first name. “Kya Aishwarya Aishwarya bula rahe ho; tumhari class mein padhti thi kya? (Why are you calling her Aishwarya? Was she your classmate?),” she shouted.
However, in a recent appearance in front of the paparazzi, Jaya was in a happier mood. She recently walked the red carpet rolled out at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding ceremony. At the event, she posed with Amitabh Bachchan, Shweta Bachchan and grandchildren, Navya Naveli Nanda and Agastya Nanda.
Amitabh posted a photo with Jaya earlier in the day, giving the impression that they were maybe filming a new advertisement. Big B was seen in the picture holding an umbrella for his wife, an actress who is now a politician. While Jaya looked elegant in a blue salwar suit, Amitabh was dressed in a white kurta pyjama. Big B wrote, “T 5074 – …. and the rain it raineth every day .. even on set at work.”
Regarding her career, Jaya most recently starred in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani. The movie was a huge hit when it came out last year. Shabana Azmi, Dharmendra, Alia Bhatt, and Ranveer Singh also acted in the movie. Karan Johar directed the movie.
