When the Khans played truant - Shah Rukh, Salman and Aamir bunk events

Something extremely strange happened this week. Three of industry's biggest Khans ended up giving events of paramount importance an unlikely and unexpected skip. Salman skipped Riteish Deshmukh's event, Aamir Pradeep Chandra's and the biggest of them all SRK making his absence felt at Dilip Kumar's book launch. Piqued at the three Khans uncharacteristic bunking , we tried to chevy out a plausible explanation behind the same. Let's start with our enfant terrible Salman Khan first. The macho star was slated to make an appearance at Riteish Deshmukh's Marathi movie Lai Bhaari's press conference. There were two chief guests for the night. Salman Khan and Raj Thackeray. Now knowing Salman and his neutral political affinity, it was a given that he would grace the event. But long after Raj arrived there was no trace of Salman. It was finally announced that Salman wouldn't be coming. Was it the Raj factor that made Salman skip the event? Well, only Salman knows the answer for the same. Aamir Khan's a curious case. Renowned photographer Pradeep Chandra released a photo album of Aamir Khan featuring some rare and unseen pictures of the superstar. But surprise that Aamir himself didn't deem it necessary to launch the album himself. Aamir in fact told us that he only got to know about the event just a day before its launch. When we informed him that Pradeep had been trying to unsuccessfully contact him, Aamir looked momentarily at a loss for words and then said that he was not aware of the same. "I don't know. Pradeep may have tried. Right now I am so busy with Satyamev Jayate so my mind is just on it and nowhere else." Smart answer Aamir. Last but not the least of all, it was SRK's baffling absence at Dilip Kumar's book launch that made news. For someone who worships Dilip Kumar like God and whom Dilip Kumar himself considers like a son( The legend had once famously remarked that if he had a son, he would have been like SRK) one expected SRK to be at the forefront. But neither did SRK attend the show nor did the internet savvy actor tweet about it. There could have been only two possible reasons behind his absence. Aamir Khan's presence at the event. It is quite well-known that both superstars are not exactly pals and both don't lose an opportunity at taking digs at each other. The another reason and a strong one at that could be Priyanka Chopra's presence. Priyanka and SRK's alleged saga almost caused a mini split in SRK's family life. Rumours of them having an affair started flying in thick and fast making the family man SRK stay away from Priyanka. These days both try their best to avoid talking about each other at public events. Priyanka famously sidestepped queries on SRK at Filmfare's press conference saying 'if you are looking for any controversy, I am sorry I won't give any'. Well, whatever be the case, we feel SRK's presence would have surely lent some more star power at Dilip Kumar's event.
