MUMBAI: Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra, who tied the knot with American singer Nick Jonas last year, is very close to her mother, Madhu Chopra. In an interview, the actress revealed that her mother was upset during her wedding as she could not invite all the people she wanted.
During her appearance in The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the 7 Khoon Maaf, Barfi, and Mary Kom fame actress revealed that her wedding at the Umaid Bhawan Palace had 200 guests. She further explained to Ellen that Indian weddings are a huge affair and many guests are invited. Now compared to the number of guests usually invited at Indian weddings, the list was a small one and thus her mother was upset. “My mother was so upset with me the whole time. She was like I need to have another party for the 1,50,000 people I know. How can I not invite my jeweller, how can I not invite my hairdresser?” said Priyanka about her mother.
