MUMBAI: Bollywood star couple Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are now husband and wife. The Brahmastra actors, who had been dating each other for almost five years, tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony on Wednesday, April 14. Their nuptial ceremony was held at Ranbir's Bandra residence Vastu after weeks of speculation around the venue and date of the much-hyped event.
Now the newlyweds have decided to host an intimate get-together. As per the report, it will take place at Vastu and will be attended by only Ranbir and Alia's friends. Their close friends from the fraternity are also expected to join this bash.
Earlier, reports stated that Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt had picked Mumbai's Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in Colaba for their star-studded wedding reception. The post-wedding bash's guest list also included Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
The rumoured reception was reportedly being planned personally by groom Ranbir who, as per reports, had picked a luxury hotel in Mumbai for the same.
Interestingly, even the groom's mother Neetu Kapoor had hinted that they will be no post-wedding parties. Hours after Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt tied the knot, the paparazzi asked the veteran actress when is the wedding reception. To this, Neetu had said, "Sab ho gaya, ho gaya. Abhi aap araam se so jaao."
