The Ugly Duckling and Me to release on 23 August

UVI Film Production Private Limited in association with Yuva Tiger Entertainment has acquired all rights of the animation film The Ugly Duckling and Me for India territories. Dubbed in Hindi, the film, a modern adaptation of The Ugly Duckling by Hans Christian Andersen, is a 2006 animated film intended for a family audience. The film, directed by Michael Hegner and Karsten Kiilerich, chronicles the adventures of a spunky duckling named Ugly who looks a little weird and his father happens to be a rat named Ratso. The movie, been produced by Monica Vimal Maluka (India), has received many awards and Recognitions as best directed animated feature film at the Cartoon Movie Festival and has garnered the Highest Tribute Cartoon Movie European Award for its producer. It has also been acclaimed by Mary Frances Ryan as 'Giving the heavyweights Harry Potter and Shrek, a run for their money'. The Ugly Duckling and Me has been screened by Invitation at International Film Festivals in Toronto, New York, Dubai, Singapore, Washington DC, Bermuda and Buster. The film is scheduled for release all over India on 23 August 2013.
