There has been a constant change in hosts of Teen ka Tadka. The latest addition to the list was Kanchi Kaul who has now been replaced by host Mouni Roy. And if it can get any better or worse it is now buzzed that the original choice as host was Ratan Rajput, the lead of Agle janam mohe bitiya hi kijo. The deal was almost finalised but fell apart at the last moment. Informs a source close to the show, “The channel was keen on having Ratan as the host as one of the episodes of Dus Ka Dum where she along with other protagonists from different soaps had participated, registered sky-rocketing TRPs. The actress charmed everybody with her wit and sense of humour. Though she demanded an unimaginable price to host the show, we still decided to go ahead with her. Since this is an approximately 10 episodic series and she is required for just six days of shoot, so the amount she quoted was not reasonable. But when the production house met her to get the deal signed, she increased her price yet again. It was then that the production house and the channel decided to drop their plans of having her as the host.” We sent a text message to Danish Khan, Marketing Head Sony Entertainment Television and Vipul Shah, co-producer Optymistix but they both didn’t revert.
