Short film ‘Shivani’ wins accolades at Bangalore Film Festival

Tellychakkar.com had exclusively written about actress Dincy Vira joining hands with her friend Mohd Shamim Faridi to launch her production house True Dreams Entertainment. We had also reported about the duo shooting their first shot film Shivani, wherein Dincy along with Zarina Wahab and Chirag Dave played the leads. Now the film has gone on to win accolades in the recently held Bangalore Film Festival. Shivani has gone on to win not just one, but 5 awards in all leading categories. The 35 minute film that presents the tale of a tawaif, who runs away with her daughter to give her a respectful upbringing, but life’s drastic game ruins it, has won the Best Film, Best Director, Best Editor, Best Cameraman and the Excellent Movie awards. Talking about the achievement Shamim, who heads operations at SaReGaMa Productions shared, “It is a very honourable moment for us as we won the maximum awards at the prestigious event. I am thankful to the team who trusted me and gave in their utmost support. Although we knew we would get the Best Film award, I really never expected that we would get a bucketful. It has been a huge investment for me in terms of monetary and effort and I am really happy with the success.” “I would like to take this opportunity to thank Zarina, Dincy, Chirag, director Ujala Ugresh, writer- creative director Rajnish Baba, cameraman Shahid Naqvi and Shariq Khan, art director Naseem Shah, Sapna Yadav, the stylist, make up man Vinod Raut and Asif for sound and the entire team for theirefforts.
