Top Bollywood Actors of 2015

We have already rounded up a list of top actresses of this year, it’s time to find out the actors who ruled B-Town in 2015. From massive hits to sensational dialog deliveries, actors have had a rather fun stint at the BO…here are the top five in  our Year Ender section. Read on:

Salman Khan:
Does he really need a reason to be on top of things? Well, turns out that he had not one, but two reasons this year. From the blockbuster hit Bajrangi Bhaijaan to the mega hit Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo, Sallu has had a rocking 2015. With rumours of him settling down next year doing the rounds, looks like his good pitch is not going to end.

Shah Rukh Khan:
From making-up with arch rival Salman to reuniting with reel lover Kajol, SRK’s year has been truly memorable. In Dilwale, he saw a bumper hit at the BO, which was also the last release of 2015. King Khan also has some interesting projects lined up for the next year, so we might see him on this list again.

Varun Dhawan:
The youngster made a strong impact with three hits this year. He played a ruthless revenge-seeker in Badlapur, a dancer par excellence in ABCD 2, and a devoted younger brother in Dilwale. It makes total sense to have him on this list, no?

Nawazuddin Siddiqui:
He definitely deserves to be on this list because he’s one helluva actor. He packed quite a punch as a robber-murderer in Badlapur, while he perfected the role of Bhaijaan’s Pakistani reporter friend in Bajrangi Bhaijaan. We are excited to see what this actor has in store for next year. Are you too?

Ranveer Singh:
After all, he is the Bajirao of Bollywood! How can we not include him in this category? He played a super-adorable brother to Priyanka Chopra in Dil Dhadkne Do and a Peshwa warrior in the year’s last release, Bajirao Mastani. Two diametrically opposite roles, which the actor aced with ease. Take a bow, mister.

Irrfan Khan:
It would be a sin to miss out on this actor. With many a smashing hits this year (including a Hollywood outing), Khan has proved to be the most commendable actor of B-Town. He not only wooed Deepika Padukone in Piku, but also made Indians proud with his Jurassic Park appearance. Added to that was his investigating talent in Jazbaa and Talvar.

Ranbir Kapoor:
The Kapoor scion might be having a rather tough stint at the box office in terms of hits, but his acting abilities have never been questioned. He mastered the dual-personality traits in Tamasha, aced his vintage role in Bombay Velvet, and was pure gold in the titular role of Roy.

Akshay Kumar:
His movies make big bucks at the BO, thanks to the hatke scripts he takes up. If there was a commercial potboiler in Singh is Bling, there was a high-octane drama in Baby. He also had action hits like Gabbar is Back and Brothers. Phew! How does this man do it?

Amitabh Bachchan:
His legendary voice was put to good use in Shamitabh, while his touching acting was on display in Piku. Need we say anything more?

Ajay Devgn:
Just when Devgn was delivering commercial movies, he ventured into this acting-backed thriller that made us root for the simpleton over the law. He proved his mettle with his eyes alone.

Which actor was your favorite this year? Let us know, guys!
