I have a huge crush on Barun Sobti - Iris Maity

Iris Maity
Iris Maity is truly a style icon! Not only because she is a fantastic model with sharp looks and a perfect body, but also because she can carry almost everything that she wears. She enchanted the audience with her performance in Bollywood movies Soch Lo, Tutiya Dil and also a much talked about television reality show Bigg Boss Bangla. Currently seen in Life OK’s Shapath (Fireworks Productions) we speak to the lady about her journey in the industry. Says Iris, “I entered the industry to become a Bollywood actor and did two films to gain footing in the industry. Like every struggler, I did not know what the right decision was, what projects to choose and to say no to. All I knew was that I was not willing to compromise on my morals. I would not say that the two movies I did were a wrong decision, it was a learning experience.” “Compared to Bollywood, television is a huge platform. When I was offered Shapath, it was challenging and I took up the role as I always took pride in essaying a cop,” she added. Iris claimed that the role she essays seems simple but there is a lot of physical exertion which goes into it. However, due to fun and the challenge and the creativity involved in conceptualizing the character, she has no regrets. Sweet… Speaking about her close pals and her hobbies she averred, “Mala Salariya, Kapil Arya and Pankaj Singh are my best pals from the sets. When I am not shooting I am either reading or painting. I am an outdoor person and the only thing which I like doing indoor is painting.” When asked her about the kind of roles she wants to do and the stars she is keen to pair up with in future she quipped, “I really want to pair up with Karan Kundra for a role as he is a close pal too. Apart from that it has to be Barun Sobti. He is a brilliant actor and I have a huge crush on him!” Bidding adieu she added, “I would like to advise all aspirants that they have to be very optimistic in their approach. Fear of failure is something which is very easy to get attracted to but the industry gives its dues if one is determined and talented.” Well said, Iris!!!
