Meet the inseparables: Arjun Bijlani, Ali Mercchant, Nandish Sandhu and Jatin Shah

TV actors Arjun Bijlani, Ali Mercchant, Nandish Sandhu and Jatin Shah might not be sharing screen space, but off screen, they bond very well. The actors don’t remember how their friendship started, but they have been inseparable ever since. These heartthrobs of Indian television are best of buddies and they never forget to catch up and have a nice time when at leisure. “It is difficult for us to meet during the day with all the rehearsal and work around, but in the evenings we make it a point to spend some quality time together,” says Nandish, famous as Veer in Colors’ Uttaran. If you are wondering what quality time means to them, then here’s the answer. “We usually make one person the bakra amongst us and trouble him a lot,” laughs Nandish. And when they aren’t busy pulling each other’s legs, the group also discusses topics like politics, cars, bikes, gadgets, cricket and life in general. The four actors are also joined in by other common friends –not from the TV industry– who add on to the entire fun quotient. These mastikhors usually hang out at Arjun’s place. The group being a rather big one, they prefer not to venture out and enjoy by horsing around indoors. In fact, it’s Ali Mercchant who keeps dragging them to parties. “I keep calling them for parties, but at times they do not listen to me,” complains Ali. We say it is good that they don’t listen to you Ali, because if they do party all the time, then they won’t report on the sets on time and then how will the audience receive their daily dose of drama? Think about it!!!
