Here we bring an update for all the film buffs!  

Well, the next original feature film to be shown this weekend is National award winning director Pradipta Bhattacharya’s Goen Da.

It’s a comedy film and stars Rahul Banerjee, Sohini Sarkar, Ritwick Chakraborty and Bhaskar Banerjee in key roles.

Now coming to the plot, it is set against the backdrop of picturesque Baharampur where stays Goen Da aka Ilias Caesar (Rahul), who is a tea seller cum aspiring detective. 

Since his childhood, Ilias was hooked to detective stories and bears a dream of becoming a detective someday. With his street smart approach, sharp thinking and the aid of his trusted team mates, he voluntarily tries to crack various cases.  

There is a friend of Goen Da, who is his biggest critic cum guide.  It is none other than his own alter ego, who only surfaces whenever he consumes a unique intoxicating substance specially prepared by him with a mix of exotic herbs. Once he consumes it, they get into verbal dual.    

Things will become challenging when Goen Da’s love interest, Sima (Sohini), who is already engaged to someone else, will find herself amidst a chilling murder of her elder sister.

Who killed Sima’s sister and why? Will Goen Da be able to succeed in solving the case and eventually win the heart of Sima?

Well, to know that you have to keep your eyes on the tale. It will be aired on 7 August, 9 pm, Zee Bangla Cinema.
