It’s Naman Shaw, finally in Jeet Jaayenge Hum

Even before Edit 2’s Jeet Jayenge Hum has gone on air it is already making news for the number of replacements it has had as far as the male lead of the show is concerned. Naman Shaw was apparently all set to play the lead while he claimed it wasn’t true. But our sources insisted that the actor was almost finalised until he was replaced by Ali Merchant who was replaced by Mohit Mallik who was replaced by Yash Pandit! And so like the proverbial daana which has its khaanewale ka naam written on it, the role has finally gone to the producer’s original choice -- Shaw. A source informs, “The leads were changed four times. It’s finally Naman, who is doing it now. Everything was in place but the makers could not finalise the male lead. Ali’s sudden illness had left the production house in the lurch and they later finalised on Mohit Mallik but things couldn’t materialise as he wasn’t happy with certain clauses in the contract. They had almost decided on Yash Pandit and wanted him to start shooting from yesterday but the actor was unable to manage it as he is already committed to his show Hum Dono Hai Alag Alag.” When contacted, Naman refused to comment on the news and directed us to speak to the people concerned. We texted producer Binaifer Kohli, who confirmed the news. Jeet Jaayenge Hum boasts of RJ Sana Sheikh as the protagonist and has prominent actors like Akhilendra Mishra and Nupur Alankaar.
