While Karan Tacker was Rajan Shahi’s discovery, Karan Mehra was TV producer Yash Patnaik’s discovery.

Tacker got cold feet before Yeh Rishta could go on floors. While Shahi was in a fix, Beyond Dream’s head Yash Patnaik came to his aid. Shahi’s next option was Karan Mehra, who was already signed for Patnaik’s Rang Badalti Oodhni.
