Patiala Babes to begin shoot in Punjab
Sony TV is all set to come up with a new show titled Patiala Babes, produced by Rajita Sharma. The latest we hear is that the makers have planned to shoot initial episodes of the show in Punjab. The majority of the cast and crew will be flying off to Punjab in the last week of September. The story of Patiala Babes is about the bond between a mother and daughter.
Nazar to get an extension
Four Lions Films' thriller drama Nazar has become a huge hit with its interesting witch drama, gripping storyline, startling twists and brilliant performances. The show has managed to keep its viewers hooked since day one and now it has got an extension. Nazar was originally planned as a 100-episode series but now it is getting extended for a year.
Karan Kundra's show 'Dil Hi Toh Hai' helped someone fight depression
TV hottie Karan Kundra is a popular face of the small screen. Karan is currently seen in Sony TV's Dil Hi Toh Hai, which also features debutant Yogita Bihani opposite him. The show is a hit among the viewers for its romantic drama. It seems to have struck a chord among the audiences. A fan of Karan wrote him a message on personal chat on Instagram about how she was depressed about various things in life and how his show helped her divert her mind and brought positivity in her life. The actor was humble enough to repay her back.

Anu Malik’s composition on Indian Idol gets a spot in Bollywood flick, Sui Dhaaga
Anu Malik is known all over the music industry as the maestro. His penchant to compose and narrate whacky shayari for audiences and celebrity guests on sets of Indian Idol 10 has been one of the key entertaining factors of India’s biggest singing reality show. On the recent episode, celebrity guests Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma made a special appearance to promote their upcoming movie – Sui Dhaaga. Incidentally, Anu Malik has also composed music for the title track of this Bollywood project.
Anushka and Varun thoroughly enjoyed all the performances from the talented Top 11 contestants on Indian Idol. Varun danced along with the contestants and the judges which heightened the glamour and entertainment quotient of the episode. Anu Malik composed a new song titled – ‘Sab Badhiya’ on the spot! Everyone including Neha Kakkar, Vishal Dadlani, along with Varun and Anushka were surprised and marveled at the striking musical composition! The actor duo was so impressed with the composition that they decided to include it in the movie, then and there itself!
Javed Jaffrey though playing an intense role in upcoming supernatural thriller, would come up with funny one liners on sets
Javed Jaffrey is well-known for his excellent comedy and funny one liners, but this time he’s all set to spook us with his upcoming supernatural thriller Lupt.
He’s an actor, dancer, singer, comedian choreographer, VJ, ad filmmaker, and is known for donning various hats indeed. Javed will be seen playing a completely different avatar deviating from the tradition of humor.
Essaying the role of a serious, competitive crass businessman, for a change Javed plays an introvert whose ambitions have no limits.
What is amusing is that, even while shooting a film of such a genre, Javed would make his co-stars and the entire set split with laughter by his funny one liners. Though the movie is spooky, owing to his penchant for comedy, Javed was at his comic best on sets despite playing an intense character.
“There were times when we shot some real intense, spine chilling scenes that would leave us exhausted at the end of the day, but Javed would come up with his witty one liners, and we would end up having a good laugh. Despite playing such a serious character, Javed would lighten up the ambience on sets,” recalls the director of the film, Prabhuraj.
Lupt boasts of an impressive ensemble cast being led by noted actors Vijay Raaz, Karan Aanand, Niki Walia, Meenakshi Dixit and Rishab Chadha among others.
Produced by Mr Hanwant Khatri and Mr Lalit Kiri under their banner Fun Entertainments, Lupt is set to release on 5 October.
Climax of web show ‘Still About Section 377’ to be tweaked
Gulshan Nain, who was part of Amit Khanna's web series, All About Section 377, is also part of the second season, Still About Section 377. Considering the fact that the Supreme Court struck down Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code on Thursday, the story of part two will now have to be tweaked. The actor hopes the show will aid in creating awareness about the LGBTQ community even more after the landmark judgment.
Tanushree Dutta confirms not being part of Bigg Boss
There were rumours doing the rounds that Tanushree Dutta and her sister were set to participate in Bigg Boss 12, but the actress has denied being a part of the show. She said that the news is baseless and she and her sister have not been approached for the show.
