MUMBAI: Shakti Mohan, who rose to fame for her incredible dancing skills, is a boss lady.
Shakti raised a few eyebrows when she decided to cut her hair short. This was followed by unpleasant comments from her fans. She said, ‘We live in a society where we have created this notion of how a girl or boy should look. Society has decided a few characterizations based on which genders are discriminated. We subconsciously follow these notions, but I don’t believe in them. I feel self-comfort and contentment is of extreme importance”
When we asked her about other feedback that she received on her new haircut, she said, ‘People did tell me that I looked better with long hair. But others’ views do not matter to me, as I am being myself and this is how I want to be. I love my hair the way it is.’

Shakti will be seen as a captain in upcoming dance reality show Dance+ 4. The tagline for this season is ‘Sapne sirf apne nahi hote’, wherein the show will celebrate the ‘plus’ in each contestant’s journey of struggle.
