Piyush Sahdeva, who was last seen in Geet Hui Sabse Parayi, is all set to come on the small screen again. Having played a lawyer and an army man already, this time the actor will play a cop in Life OK’s Hum Ne Li Hai Shapath, will which hit TV screens on 15 January 2012. And Piyush is very excited to don the Khaki uniform. “I really liked the character and I think the audiences will like it too,” says the star. In fact, he lost seven kilograms to suit the role of a policeman. “While I was working in Geet, my busy schedule didn’t permit me to work out in the gym and hence gained considerable amount of weight,” reveals Piyush. Apart from following a fitness regime, the actor also watched a lot of cop movies to get a hang of his charcter: “I saw many movies like Om Puri’s Ardh Satya and Amitabh Bachchan’s Zanjeer,” smiles Piyush. That’s not it; he even performed his own stunt recently. But considering that he had a knee dislocation isn’t it difficult for him. “There are many problems in life. But you have to overcome them and proceed ahead in life,” says the star. Wise words. “I have great expectations from the show,” ends Piyush. Tellychakkar.com hopes you efforts pay off.
