We all know that Riteish Deshmukh is an entertainer par excellence. But in Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum, the actor has shown his versatility. He has turned lyricist and singer with the hit UP Bihar Lootne track that has been rendered (for the first time together) along with Sukhwinder Singh and Daler Mehndi. Riteish has penned and sung the Marathi portions of the song.
When Balaji was working on a new version of Shilpa Shetty’s famous item number, being a Maharashtrian, Riteish asked his producer to lengthen the song a bit to incorporate the word Maharashtra in it.“Riteish was very excited about the song from the beginning. He spontaneously decided that Maharashtra be a part of the new song,”says a source from the film’s unit.
To ensure the authenticity of the track, he sat with the composers Meet Brothers Anjjan to understand the meter and rhythm of the track. As a result, the original song from Shool (1999) was tweaked.
When contacted, Balaji Motion Pictures CEO Tanuj Garg confirmed, “The UP-Bihar track shows us a new dimension of Riteish. He has done a terrific job in bringing the track from UP and Bihar to Maharashtra. We have a sure-shot chartbuster on our hands.”
